It Begins...

I've created this blog strictly to document mundane, everyday happenings.

First and foremost, I am a writer!  My speciality is screenplays and fiction.  I live most of my waking hours in an imaginary daze with characters and plots swirling around most everything I see and hear.  I've been more than once accused of living in a fantasy world, of viewing life through rose-tinted glass.  That's true, and I actually did try at one point in my life to accept the concept of reality as proposed by the majority of people and live in it, but frankly the more I saw of how deceptive, violent, vindictive, and amoral that most people are under their benign, smiling exteriors, the more I was sickened and disheartened by humanity in general.  So, I consciously chose to put my rose-tinted glasses back on and leave them on.

In addition to my glasses, I live by avoidance.  I avoid watching the news on TV as it is filled with the horrible things that people do and the horrible tragedies that happen to people.  I detest the news.  Watching it not only depresses me, it lowers my opinion in general of mankind.  I also avoid becoming 'close' with my neighbors.  I value my privacy and don't want people just dropping in to say 'Hi'.

On the other hand, I love to watch people and how they interact with others and their environments.  People are fascinating to me.  I just don't want to get close to most of them.

My two favorite quotes are: 'Imagination is more important than knowledge', - Albert Einstein, and 'Reality is what you imagine it to be.'  - Author unknown.  I subscribe whole-heartedly to those two quotes!

Anyway, this blog will contain mundane everyday happenings that occur in my life.  And, thanks to the iPhone, I will be able to upload pictures while I'm on the go.  This should be fun!!
