Just entered Texas. The rain has stopped. Mom is in the Texas welcome center picking up a state map like she does when we enter each new state.
Speaking of mom, last night she stepped out of the hotel room for a smoke. A few minutes later she ran back in all excited babbling about a strange red light floating in the sky.
"I've never seen anything like it!" She said. "Hurry and come look before it goes away!"
We grabbed th kids and hurried to see the amazing light. It turned out to be the side view of a super high hotel sign. The pole supporting the sign was hidden from view by the darkness of a country night.
So much for her UFO siting.
