It's official. I snagged the job in West Hollywood. I'll be starting either November 9th or 16th and it's a 16 week assignment. I am so stoked I could spit!
The job is in a prestigious clinic. All I have to do is to get people ready for exams and assist the physicians when they perform the exams. Of course they have a high turnover of patients, but how hard could a clinic job be?
I was told during the interview that the clinic is real strict on HIPPA regulations, you know patient privacy and all that jazz. The reason they are so tight with HIPPA? The person who interviewed me said it's because quite a few movie stars and influential people come to the clinic.
How interesting is that?! I hadn't even considered movie stars. I was more intent on meeting and befriending people who would have connections for getting my screenplay into the right hands so I might sell my work one day.
The clinic job is a Monday-Friday 8:30 - 5:30pm deal. No weekends and No holidays!!
Oh yeah. The interviewer asked me if I liked to shop. Well, duh! What woman doesn't?
"Of course." I said.
Then, she informed me that right across the street from my new job is an 8 story mall!!
Sounds like a dream job to me!
Tomorrow I will find out where I'll be living - in West Hollywood.
Tonight I'm going to order a book from Amazon.com on sight-seeing places in Southern California.
I'll keep a travel blog with pictures and stuff for anyone who's interested.
